Job summary

Queen Square Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Red Hat Deployment & Platform Engineer in Wokingham to join a high‑performance team. You will deploy, automate, and operate secure, scalable Red Hat and Kubernetes platforms with OpenShift experience preferred.

You will collaborate with DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security to drive reliability and operational excellence across critical services while maintaining robust documentation and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong experience operating Kubernetes environments (OpenShift preferred).
• Proven expertise with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Deployment automation and scripting skills (Bash, Python, YAML).
• Experience in secure or compliance-driven environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and collaboration abilities.
• OpenShift platform experience.
• SRE practices: monitoring, alerting, reliability engineering, automation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and manage RHEL-based platforms.
• Implement, operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift desirable).
• Ensure platforms meet high availability, scalability, and security requirements.
• Manage build, deployment, and orchestration with Jenkins and CI/CD tools.
• Design, automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to SRE practices, monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements.
• Produce technical documentation and deployment runbooks.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, Security and Development teams.
