Job summary

Faculty is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and optimise cloud platform infrastructure and automated deployment solutions across multi-environment projects.

You will own account structures, security controls, and deployment automation, driving production readiness and scalable architectures while mentoring engineers.

Due to client work with Government and enterprise partners, you may need UK Developed Vetting (DV) eligibility and to work on site with clients from time to time.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud platform infrastructure across multi-environment setups.
• Strong knowledge of IaC and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with deployment automation and monitoring.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs to engineering teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud platform infrastructure across multi-environment setups, including security controls.
• Create and manage scalable Infrastructure as Code for complex client environments.
• Optimise Kubernetes for high availability and efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain production health.
• Manage production environments and lead incident response and RCA.
• Collaborate with Software and ML engineers to ensure production readiness.
• Mentor engineers through peer reviews and best practices.
