Leonardo is seeking a Platform Engineer in Edinburgh to join a cross-disciplinary engineering team. The role focuses on shaping, building and operating the core infrastructure that supports our aerospace and defence platforms.

You will own development tools, guide best practices and work across cloud, containers and automation. The successful candidate will bring deep Linux, cloud and IaC experience, with a focus on reliability, security and scalable design.

Qualifications

• Shape, build and operate the infrastructure underpinning our engineering platform.
• Own core development tools and infrastructure, including compute, containers and hosting.
• Provide technical guidance, improve reliability and promote best practices.
• Use cloud platforms, container orchestration and infrastructure as code.
• Investigate complex issues, improve observability and reduce operational risk.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and mentor others.
