Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and maintain a world-class technology infrastructure. You will own Linux infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, automation, and platform resilience to support trading platforms and engineering teams.

The role requires a strong DevOps background with 5+ years in financial services, cloud experience, and a proactive, owning mindset to drive reliability and efficiency in a fast-paced hedge fund environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in financial services IT.
• Hands-on experience with modern DevOps tooling.
• Experience with public cloud management (AWS/Azure) and automation.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into robust tech solutions.
• Strong ownership and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support DevOps systems (Puppet, Jenkins, GitHub, SVN).
• Manage deployment and lifecycle for core platforms.
• Automate Linux systems, patching, and resiliency planning.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize core infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve dependencies.
