Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Platform Engineer to deploy applications across cloud/on-prem environments. You will build and configure development tools, work with stakeholders, and streamline CI/CD pipelines in a security-focused team.

Willingness to obtain SC and eDV clearance is required. The role offers hybrid work with on-site collaboration and opportunities to influence tooling and deployment strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model.
• Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Experience in building/deploying large-scale apps in CI/CD pipelines; container platforms and orchestration (ECS, AKS, Kubernetes/helm/Docker).
• Automation/integration tools such as Jenkins, Concourse CI or cloud equivalents.
• Experience in scripting languages and source control.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Platform Engineer, deploying applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments.
• Build and set up development tools and infrastructure.
• Understand the needs of project stakeholders.
• Automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensure systems are safe and secure against cyber threats.
• Identify technical problems and develop updates and solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure established processes are followed.
