Job summary

Lynx Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Google Cloud) to join a growing global tech consultancy. The role is hybrid and focuses on delivering Google Cloud, data and AI projects for enterprise clients.

You will build and modernise cloud infrastructure, manage containerised workloads and data pipelines, using Terraform, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines, working closely with architects and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Cloud/Platform/DevOps roles.
• Strong hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Expertise with Terraform and IaC.
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker and containerised workloads.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security and governance.
• Experience building data platforms/pipelines in GCP.
• Exposure to Vertex AI or similar cloud AI services.
• Proficiency in Python, Go or Shell scripting.

The Opportunity

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll work closely with Architects and delivery teams to implement production-grade solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You'll be involved in a variety of projects spanning cloud infrastructure, data engineering, platform modernisation and AI technologies.

This is a hands‑on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys building cloud-native solutions, automating deployments and working directly with customers to solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support containerised environments using Kubernetes (GKE), Docker and Cloud Run.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, scalable deployments.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security and governance.
• Experience building data platforms and pipelines within GCP.
• Exposure to AI/ML services such as Vertex AI or similar cloud-based AI platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Go or Shell scripting.
• Previous consultancy, professional services or client-facing project experience would be highly advantageous.
• Google Cloud certifications are desirable
