Job summary

Gibson Dunn in London is seeking a Platform Engineer to build reusable platforms, tools, and services that boost developer productivity and accelerate delivery. You will write and ship code for an internal developer platform, maintain self-service tooling, and enable end-to-end production readiness across CI/CD, cloud, and observability.

The role covers AI workloads and model inferences, with a focus on reliable, well-tested code and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform, DevOps, infrastructure, or software engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Go and Python with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with IaC and GitOps, and hands-on cloud/Kubernetes knowledge.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident and change management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain self-service tooling, CLIs, libraries, and templates as tested code.
• Contribute features to the internal developer platform and perform code reviews.
• Provide day-to-day developer support for platform services and triage issues.
• Automate governance for AI workloads and ensure secure access to platform capabilities.
• Develop pipelines-as-code and support release activities with GitOps practices.
