Job summary

Project Global Limited seeks a Platform Engineer in London for a hybrid role, combining remote work in the UK with in-office presence three days a week. The contract runs 6+ months and is to start ASAP, offering a competitive day rate.

You will design, develop, and maintain tools and platforms that streamline the software development lifecycle, focusing on scalable, reliable infrastructure and seamless deployment processes across teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python/Java/Groovy/Go for platform tooling and scripting.
• Strong Linux (RHEL) and Windows OS skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Nexus, Zephyr for SDLC tooling.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab, Ansible.
• Cloud knowledge across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Security tooling for SCA/SAST/DAST.
• Monitoring/logging with Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Git proficiency and scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Perl).
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain tools supporting software development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Implement automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.
• Ensure seamless integration of tools with existing systems and platforms.
• Monitor tool performance, troubleshoot, and perform regular maintenance.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to deliver effective solutions.
• Create and maintain tool/process documentation for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with latest tech trends in platform engineering and tooling.
• Implement security measures to protect tools and systems.
• Provide training and support to team members on tools and systems.
