Pulse Group are exclusively looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Data Centre Services team of one of the world’s leading universities.
Our client is a globally recognised institution at the forefront of science, technology, engineering, medicine and business, with more than 20,000 students and a reputation for world-leading research and innovation. Their technology estate supports cutting-edge research across multiple London campuses and specialist facilities.
You’ll be joining the team responsible for the physical infrastructure behind that research and teaching, working across enterprise storage and backup spanning three data centres, including a newly built High Performance Computing (HPC) facility.
This is a proper hands-on infrastructure role, not DevOps, with the opportunity to take real ownership of some significant infrastructure projects.
There’s plenty happening from day one, including enterprise storage and backup operations, infrastructure across multiple Data Centres, storage procurement and deployment, and a major NetWorker → Commvault migration kicking off in Q1 2027.
If you’re an Infrastructure / Platform Engineer with a strong storage and backup background and this sounds interesting, we’d love to hear from you.
