Job summary

Searchability NS&D is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to design and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms for UK public sector projects. You will help build enterprise-scale infrastructure and drive automation across delivery teams.

The role emphasizes leadership within agile teams, Terraform-based infrastructure, and container platforms with Kubernetes and Docker, supported by CI/CD pipelines and strong monitoring practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong Linux engineering and scripting experience.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience supporting large scale production cloud platforms.
• Ability to provide technical leadership within engineering teams.

THE LEAD PLATFORM ENGINEER ROLE

As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will work within agile engineering teams designing and building secure, scalable cloud platforms for major UK public sector organisations.
