Job summary

VIQU Limited is seeking a Platform Engineer in Birmingham for a 5-month contract. The role combines Azure-focused platform management with on-prem elements, across compute, networking, storage and identity services.

You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) and be responsible for sustaining and improving the Azure/on-prem platform, handling incidents, and supporting Terraform/IaC and VMware environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on enterprise Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, Entra ID and security.
• Proven Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
• Strong VMware vSphere/ESXi administration experience.
• Solid Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.
• Experience managing and supporting hybrid Azure/on-prem environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident resolution and production support experience.

Platform Engineer

Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote | Birmingham| 5-Month Contract

VIQU is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a major enterprise customer in Birmingham. The environment is approximately 75% Azure / 25% on-prem, with a strong focus on Azure, VMware and Terraform/IaC.

Platform Engineer Required Experience & Skills

• Strong hands-on enterprise Azure experience across Compute, Networking, Storage, Entra ID and Security.

• Proven Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
