Job summary

Oxford Knight, a London-based algorithmic trading firm, seeks a proactive coder to design and enhance trading infrastructure that spans FX, equities, fixed income and commodities. You will work with Go, Python, C or Bash, and contribute to in-house scheduling, Kerberos tooling and Linux distributions.

Strong automation, Linux, and networking knowledge are essential, with a track record of delivering tools that boost user efficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable automation experience of how new tools you introduced impacted positively on users outside your immediate team
• Very strong coding abilities in Go, Python, C and/or Bash
• Good working knowledge of Linux, TCP/IP networking, and storage technologies
• Evidence of building excellent relationships with peers both inside a team and across an organisation
• Expert use of standard development tools, e.g. git, IDEs, CI/CD and test-driven development techniques

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and continually improve trading infrastructure platforms
• Work with a mix of commercial products, open-source software and custom code
• Adopt new languages and tools quickly as needed
• Collaborate across teams to enhance reliability and performance
• Contribute to in-house tooling and deployment pipelines
