Job summary

Fitch Solutions is seeking a Product Owner for Platform Products to join our Glasgow team. You will define and prioritise data and platform capabilities, working closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Research and Commercial teams to shape the product roadmap and deliver measurable business value.

You will translate complex data needs into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, guiding the team through agile ceremonies and UAT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis within Financials Services or FinTech.
• Ability to turn ambiguous needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile engineering teams and tools such as Jira and Confluence; comfortable with SQL or similar.
• Knowledge of data products, metadata, mastered data, data quality, and data lifecycle across systems.
• Understanding of APIs, data models, integrations, and building reliable data services.
• Comfort using AI-enabled tools to prototype and demonstrate ideas for discovery and decisions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise product backlogs; align with product strategy and measurable value.
• Translate business and technical needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to shape roadmaps and manage dependencies.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and UAT to ensure value delivery.
• Use AI-enabled tools to create prototypes and demonstrations to accelerate decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve ambiguity and drive alignment.
