Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking Platers / Welders for a maintenance project near Liverpool. Responsibilities include using oxyacetylene burning equipment, cutting and marking steel plates, and MMA welding on mild steel. Candidates must possess a CCNSG card and have NVQ 3 or equivalent in Plating/Fabrication. Previous experience in the heavy engineering industry is required, with additional weld codings seen as an advantage. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess CCNSG card.
• A valid MMA weld coding is an advantage.
• Previous experience in heavy engineering sectors is required.
• Experience in heavy engineering sectors such as Power, O&G, Petrochemical or Renewables.

Responsibilities

• Use oxyacetylene burning equipment for plate section removal.
• Mark and cut steel plate accurately.
• Repair plates, pipes, channels, and brackets.
• MMA welding on mild steel plate.

• Setting out, marking and cutting steel plate
• Plate, pipe, channel and bracket repair
• MMA welding on mild steel plate
