Job summary

Tawakkul Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Plater/Fabricator/Welder to join our workshop. You will read detailed engineering drawings, measure, mark out, cut and assemble steel components, and MIG weld them to tight tolerances.

You’ll work on varied heavy fabrication projects, operate workshop machinery safely and check finished work for quality, with independence from engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Plater, Fabricator or Fabricator/Welder.
• Strong experience working with heavy steel fabrication.
• Ability to work independently from engineering drawings.
• Confident measuring, marking out and assembling steelwork from scratch.
• Practical knowledge of MIG welding.
• Experience using fabrication workshop machinery.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Plater, Fabricator or Fabricator/Welder.

Desirable

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/City & Guilds in Fabrication and Welding.
