Job summary

A recruitment firm specializing in engineering roles is seeking Platers for a refinery maintenance project in Fawley. The role involves using oxyacetylene burning equipment to remove plate sections, cutting steel plate, and performing MMA welding. Candidates must have an NVQ 3 / City & Guilds qualification, a CCNSG card, and previous experience in the heavy engineering industry. This position offers a PAYE weekly pay rate, and shifts are from Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy engineering, particularly in Power, O&G, Petrochemical, or Renewables.
• Must hold a CCNSG card and relevant certifications.
• Previous experience in a similar role is required.

Responsibilities

• Remove sections of plate using oxyacetylene burning equipment.
• Mark and cut steel plate as per specifications.
• Perform repairs on plates, pipes, channels, and brackets.
• Conduct MMA welding on mild steel plate.

Monday - Thursday, 9.5hrs

Friday- 7.5hrs

Saturday-Sunday 8hrs

PAYE Pay Rates: Blue Book Grade5:

£2.37/hrBonus (£0.80/hr up front, £1.57/hr conditionally every 4 weeks)
