Places for People is hiring a qualified plasterer to carry out plastering repairs across domestic properties and communal areas. You will work within social housing settings, carrying out general plastering to specifications under supervision.

The role offers a company van, 35 days leave, pension, and a joining bonus, with consistent workload in your dedicated area and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Plastering
• Experience working as a plasterer, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
• Full UK driving licence
• Based within the PE postcode area

Responsibilities

• Carrying out plastering repairs across domestic properties and communal areas
• Completing general plastering work in line with specifications and supervisor instructions
• Conducting pre and post inspections and recording outcomes
• Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
• Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines
• Recording work activity and completing required documentation
• Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs

A £3,000 joining bonus is available for this role. The bonus will be paid in two instalments: £1500 upon joining Places for People and a further £1500 upon successful completion of your probation period, subject to the terms of the scheme.

What you'll be doing

What your day looks like

• A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenancework
• Travelling between jobs inyour company van
• Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople
• Engaging directlywith Customers in their homes
• Completingwork efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards

Where you'll work

• Occupied homes
• Empty (void) properties
• Communal areaswithin housing schemes
• Environments involvingvulnerable Customers

Essential Criteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted)

• NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Plastering
• Experienceworking as a Plasterer, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
• Full UK driving licence
• Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be basedwithin the PE postcode

Nice to have (not essential)

• Experiencesupervising or mentoring apprentices
• Additional Level 2 tradequalification
