Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a proactive Labourer to support our Plant & Tools division. You will help keep the depot workshop and yard clean, prepare plant equipment for hire, and assist the wider team to deliver exceptional service to customers across construction and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Driving licence required; a CSCS card and/or forklift licence are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Keep the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard‑free
• Clean equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Quality‑check equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it is hire‑ready
• Refuel plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs
• Assist with general workshop duties as required
• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a safe, timely and professional manner, ensuring all relevant checks and associated administration are completed accurately
