Job summary

ITS Building People are recruiting an experienced Heavy Plant Mechanic/Supervisor to join a well-established fleet. The role involves maintaining and servicing heavy plant up to 90 tonnes while supervising a team of 13 fitters.

Based in Fleet, Hampshire, the position offers a permanent, site-based role with varying shifts. Ideal candidates have around 5 years' mechanical experience, with a background in heavy plant equipment and the ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs.

Qualifications

• Ideally around 5 years' relevant mechanical experience.
• Experience working with Heavy Plant Equipment.
• Level 3 qualification desirable but not essential.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.
• Flexible approach to occasional breakdown call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles and plant for MOTs.
• Servicing and maintaining heavy plant equipment up to 90 tonnes.
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs.
• Predominantly depot-based work, with occasional travel to breakdowns across Kent.
• Working on a variety of heavy machinery including crushers, dozers and 360 excavators.
• Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensuring vehicles and machinery are maintained to a safe and operational standard.

The Role & About the Client
