Job summary

FM Conway is recruiting a Plant Supervisor based at our Heathrow Asphalt plant. The role covers operating the asphalt plant, mobile plant and weighbridge, while coordinating shifts and supervising the site. A multi-skilled position focused on safety, quality and customer service within our Aggregate and Asphalt division.

You will lead and motivate the team, manage stock of fuels and materials, and ensure efficient production with strong safety practices. Closing date 17/10/2026.

Qualifications

• To be considered for our Plant Supervisor role you must have experience with asphalt plant manufacturing operating systems.
• You will have a good understanding of health and safety practices and legislation and you will have experience operating loading shovels, telehandlers and weighbridges.
• You will have a strong customer focus, excellent attention to detail and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Ensure mixing plans are carried out effectively and cost-efficiently.

• Carry out weighbridge functions and manage daily delivery schedules with clear team communication.

Job description

FM Conway is currently looking to recruit aPlant Supervisor to join our Aggregate and Asphalt (A&A) division. Based from our Heathrow Asphalt plant, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a multi-skilled role that will include operating the asphalt plant, mobile plant, and weighbridge functions, alongside co-ordinating the shift and supervising the site.

The duties of the Plant Supervisor role will include:

• Supervising and motivating the operational team to achieve excellence and continual improvement both in terms of quality and efficiency
• Managing stock levels of fuel, constituent and raw materials
• Ensuring mixing plans are carried out in an effective and cost-effective manner
• Reporting critical issues in a timely and accurate manner
• Generating task specific risk assessments and safe working practices
• Controlling and supervising contractors in accordance with the company’s health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices
• Carrying out all weighbridge functions, including managing the daily delivery schedule and maintaining effective communication with all other team members to ensure all customer needs are met
