Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK (formerly Hanson UK) is seeking a hands-on Plant Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of a concrete plant in Chipping Sodbury. You will oversee production, ensure quality and safety standards, and collaborate with customers and contractors to deliver reliable service.

Qualifications

• Experience in concrete/aggregates/construction or similar operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the batching plant to produce concrete and mortar to required quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Order Office to ensure production meets customer requirements.
• Provide professional and friendly service to customers face-to-face and by phone.
• Ensure sufficient materials are available to meet production demands.
• Inspect incoming materials and perform regular stock checks.
• Carry out routine plant inspections and maintenance and report defects.
• Supervise contractors, hauliers and visitors to ensure site safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, site presentation and security.
• Monitor plant, equipment and materials to ensure safe and efficient use.
• Ensure waste disposal, water discharge and dust emissions are managed in line with environmental requirements.
• Maintain health and safety, environmental compliance, product quality and customer service standards.
• Report any issues that could impact safe and effective operation of the plant.

Deliver a great service.We’re looking for a confident and hands-on **Plant Supervisor** to take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional day-to-day running of our concrete plant.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the operation, overseeing production, maintaining high standards across the site and ensuring our customers receive the quality products and service they expect.This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same.
