Job description

As a Quality Manager for our Lincoln plant, you will:

1. Ensure that plant operations comply with quality procedures and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and raw materials.
2. Take ownership of the Quality Management System, maintaining its effectiveness and training staff on its application.
3. Lead the site audit schedule for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Maintain operating costs within the current budget relative to sales.
5. Investigate and report on key quality indicators in a timely manner, adhering to corporate requirements.
6. Aim to improve performance metrics, such as reducing the cost of quality to less than 1% of plant sales.
7. Drive customer satisfaction improvements and oversee all investigations and incidents related to health, safety, and quality.
8. Support lean and OpX principles to achieve and sustain a gold standard laboratory environment.
9. Manage a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Laboratory Technicians, focusing on development and succession planning.

Candidate Profile:

1. Degree or equivalent with experience in a quality engineering environment.
2. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
3. Proven people management skills and experience.
4. Calm, patient, persuasive, with conflict management abilities.
5. Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP is desirable.
6. Leadership, engagement, and initiative are essential.
7. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a demanding environment.
