Job summary

SRG in Bracknell is seeking a dedicated Plant/Seed Production Technician to join the busy Technical Support Team. You will manage day-to-day production and maintenance of plant and seed materials under glasshouse conditions, supporting experimental screening programmes to a high standard.

This role suits someone with an interest in plant biology and horticulture who wants to develop technical skills in a regulated, science-led environment, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plant biology and seed production techniques.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day production and maintenance of plant/seed materials to a standard that meets customer requirements.
• Work both independently and with the team to carry out experimental work using established and novel screening methods.
• Maintain plants under glasshouse conditions for the full duration of each test.
• Liaise closely with Technical Support Team to ensure high levels of customer support.
