Position Purpose

Assist in the daily operation of the plant for receipt, treatment, and disposal of clinical waste to maximize plant availability and productivity, following company procedures and legal requirements.

Key Job Activities

1. Unload vehicles and trailers (site-specific).
2. Manoeuvre waste on the plant and weigh containers effectively.
3. Ensure waste containers are emptied, cleaned, and stored properly for collection.
4. Coordinate paperwork and reception of all deliveries, including those from suppliers and contractors.
5. Oversee safe handling of loose waste into containers during deliveries.
6. Operate forklift trucks if required.
7. Participate in plant shutdowns as necessary.
8. Maintain operational records and data specific to the role.
9. Report major defects or concerns to management.
10. Assist the Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager during breakdowns or stoppages.
11. Follow all safety notices and procedures, ensuring safe work practices.
12. Attend relevant training courses.
13. Perform additional duties to ensure safe and compliant plant operations.
14. Comply with health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player. Able to work effectively under pressure, with good health, punctuality, and flexibility for shift work. Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
