About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager or Engineering Manager passionate about people, performance, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will lead our Linford 1 Aircrete manufacturing plant, impacting operations, safety standards, and overall site performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and inspire a high-performing workforce with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
2. Drive operational excellence through cost control, quality assurance, and KPI delivery.
3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
4. Support Capex projects, maintenance systems, and statutory inspections.
5. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
6. Promote high standards of housekeeping and safety.
7. Champion team development, succession planning, and apprenticeship programs.
8. Maintain a positive site reputation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven leadership in a plant, production, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong engineering background (highly advantageous).
• Experience managing large teams, ideally in unionized settings.
• Knowledge of SHE compliance and operational KPIs.
• SHE NVQ Level 4/QCF Level 6 – IOSH/NEBOSH preferred.
