Job summary

Welland Operations in Brighton is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a site team of mechanical, electrical and multi‑skilled technicians, delivering safe, compliant and cost‑effective maintenance across all plant and equipment to maximise availability and reliability.

You will manage the team, plan outages, coordinate external contractors, control the maintenance budget and drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis and robust CMMS data to support regulatory compliance and safe

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent time-served apprenticeship with management experience
• Proven maintenance management experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership with focus on development and performance
• Experience of permit-to-work systems and safe isolation
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance budget management
• Diagnose and resolve complex plant breakdowns
• Plan and execute maintenance schedules and plant outages
• Proactive, preventive maintenance-focused approach
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to health, safety and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maintenance Team
• Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance across site plant and equipment
• Source and manage external contractors, ensuring RAMS and approvals
• Plan outages on time and within budget with contractor coordination
• Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance
• Work with Operations Manager to maximise plant availability
• Maintain CMMS data: work orders, asset history, PPM schedules
• Produce monthly performance reports with KPIs, costs and outages
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety
