Job summary

Cobalt Energy Limited is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for site maintenance across mechanical, electrical and related systems. The role focuses on safe, compliant, cost-effective maintenance to maximise plant availability and reliability.

You will manage contractors, coordinate outages, maintain the CMMS, and ensure regulatory compliance while controlling maintenance budgets and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or time-served apprenticeship with management experience.
• Proven experience in a maintenance management role within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on development and performance.
• Experience with permit-to-work systems and safe isolation.
• Experience of CMMS and maintenance budget management.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex plant breakdowns.
• Experience planning maintenance schedules and plant outages.
• Commitment to health, safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site Maintenance Team across mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled technicians to deliver safe, compliant maintenance and maximise plant availability.
• Source, manage and induct external contractors; ensure RAMS and permit controls are in place.
• Plan outages, coordinate contractors and perform post-outage reviews within budget.
• Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams and work with the Operations Manager to maximise plant availability.
• Ensure CMMS accuracy, asset history, PPM schedules and safe operating procedures are followed.
• Produce monthly departmental performance reports covering KPIs, costs and outages.
