Job summary

PPG in Stowmarket is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to perform both reactive and planned maintenance on all plant equipment, ensuring minimum downtime and safe operations. You will contribute to continuous improvement and report safety hazards promptly.

The role offers a full-time, permanent position with weekday shifts, opportunities for overtime, and a strong focus on training and career progression within a global coatings leader.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled with mechanical and electrical know-how.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Good communication across levels of the business.
• Apprentice-trained or equivalent Level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance plans across site to standard.
• Diagnose breakdowns and repair efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Identify and support process improvements and equipment performance trends.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report hazards.
