Job summary

NEO2 in Bristol is seeking a Plant Layout Designer / CAD Technician to contribute to major EPC projects, including Hinkley Point C. You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team and support the electrical installation design for nuclear facilities, using AVEVA E3D to route cables and define layouts.

Your profile should include an engineering degree or equivalent, 2+ years in CAD and 3D modelling, and fluency in English. French is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work within a multidisciplinary team based in Bristol on HPC/Sizewell C.

By joining our team as a Plant Layout Designer, you will contribute to a key assignment with one of our clients, supporting the electrical installation design of an EPR nuclear reactor. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team based in Bristol, you will be involved in the delivery of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project while helping prepare design strategies and methodologies for the Sizewell C project.

Key Responsibilities :

• Route cables in AVEVA E3D based on project inputs and cable schedules.

• Define cable tray layouts and routing strategies within industrial facilities.

• Develop and maintain 3D cable tray models, from preliminary routing to detailed design.

• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure effective integration of systems.

• Design cable tray support arrangements in accordance with project requirements and engineering best practices.

Your Profile :

• Engineering graduate or CAD Technician.

• Engineering degree or at least 2 years of experience in CAD design and 3D modelling.

• Proven experience with AVEVA E3D/PDMS and a solid understanding of engineering design principles.

• Experience in cable routing, cable tray design, BIM environments, or industrial/nuclear projects would be advantageous.

• Autonomous, organised, and team-oriented, with strong communication skills.

• Fluent English is essential; French would be a plus.
