Job summary

Luddon Construction Limited is seeking a Plant Hire Coordinator to manage the hire, off-hire and movement of construction plant and equipment across sites in the UK. You will help implement inspHire, establish effective processes, and ensure accurate data and cost control.

The role requires coordinating with site teams, suppliers and workshops, with emphasis on efficient utilisation and safe, compliant operations. Strong IT skills and industry knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant hire, civil engineering or construction environments.
• Experience coordinating hire/off-hire and dealing with suppliers and site personnel.
• Experience supporting or leading implementation or development of a business system.
• Good knowledge of construction plant, machinery, tools and equipment.
• Strong organisational, communication and numeracy skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hire, off-hire and movement of plant, tools and equipment to sites.
• Source equipment from fleet or arrange external hire and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain plant locations, hire periods, movements and supplier records.
• Monitor utilisation and off-hire unnecessary equipment to control costs.
• Lead or support inspHire implementation and process development.
