The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) invites applications for a Scientist (all levels) in Advanced Genome Technologies to join a transformative plant biotechnology programme.

You will design and conduct experiments on genome technologies and plant transformation, collaborating across AI, automation, and biology teams to translate research into commercial solutions.

This role offers opportunities for publication and IP development, with long-term funding and potential global impact.

Qualificações

• Completed Ph.D. in molecular biology or related discipline.
• Deep expertise in cellular, molecular and synthetic biology with biochemistry/physics background.
• Significant experience in plant molecular biology or plant-microbe interactions.
• Ability to rapidly test diverse hypotheses and pivot when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Drive rigorous experimental design, execution and data interpretation to robust, reproducible outcomes.
• Deliver research progress through stage-gated milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply cutting-edge techniques.
• Present scientific work at seminars and external meetings; contribute to IP discussions.
• Mentor junior members of the research group where appropriate.
• Collaborate with AI, automation, and generative biology experts across EIT ecosystem.
• Assist in translating results into commercial opportunities aligned with EIT mission.
• Identify opportunities for IP creation and patent protection.
• Conduct research ethically in line with policy and best practices.
