Job summary

Embark Associates Ltd T/A Embark Recruitment in the West Midlands is seeking a Mobile Diesel Plant Fitter / Service Engineer. You will work on diesel engines and a range of plant equipment, including telehandlers and excavators.

The role is permanent full-time, Monday to Friday with overtime. A company van and pension are provided, and you will support on-site service and repairs across client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in Plant Hire / Agricultural and Construction Equipment industry.
• Familiar with Diesel Engines and construction plant equipment.
• Able to service and repair on site with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• PDI's, Servicing & Repairing Plant Equipment
• Attend breakdowns on client sites
• Service plant equipment whilst out on site
• Fit Accessories as Required
• Work Well Under Pressure
• Complete administration tasks including service & repair records accurately
• Present a professional and positive attitude when working on customer sites
• Maintain health & safety to HSE & company standards

Job description

Job Role:

Working for a family owned Plant Hire Equipment company, you will be working as a Mobile Diesel Plant Fitter / Service Engineer - based in the West Midlands. You will have previous engineering experience working on a range of Mechanical Diesel Plant, equipment including Telehandlers,excavators, Dumpers etc. The salary for this position is £18.00 - £22.00 per hour, plus overtime as required. We are looking for someone who is familiar with working on Diesel Engines, with previous experience working on Construction Plant Equipment. The position is permanent full time Monday - Friday, plus overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• PDI's, Servicing & Repairing Plant Equipment

• Service plant equipment whilst out on site

• Work Well Under Pressure
• Complete Administration Tasks including Service & Repair Records Accurately

Skills:

• Previous Experience in One or More of The Following Roles: Service Engineer; Mobile Service Engineer; Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Fitter, Mobile Service Engineer
• You Will Need Previous Experience within the Plant Hire / Agricultural and Construction Equipment Industry
• Analytical Approach To Problem Solving
• Able to Work Without Instruction
• IT Literate
• Own Tool Kit
• Good Communication Skills, both Verbal & Written
• Current Driving License
