Job summary

Embark Recruitment is recruiting for a Mobile Diesel Plant Fitter / Service Engineer based in the West Midlands. You will work on diesel engines across a range of plant equipment including telehandlers, excavators and dumpers, with a permanent full-time contract Monday to Friday plus overtime.

Responsibilities include PDI, servicing, repairing plant equipment, attending breakdowns on client sites, fitting accessories and maintaining service records.

Qualifications

• Experience as service engineer, mobile service engineer or plant fitter in construction/plant hire sectors.
• Familiarity with diesel engines and plant equipment such as telehandlers, excavators, dumpers.
• Own tool kit and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driving license and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform PDI, servicing, and repair of plant equipment.
• Attend breakdowns on client sites and service equipment on site.
• Fit accessories as required and maintain records of service & repair.
• Maintain health and safety standards on site.
• Complete administrative tasks and keep accurate service logs.

Job Role:Working for a family ownedPlant HireEquipment company, you will be working as a MobileDiesel Plant Fitter / Service Engineer– based in the West Midlands. You will have previous engineering experience working on a range of Mechanical Diesel Plant, equipment including Telehandlers,excavators, Dumpers etc.The salary for this position is £18.00 - £22.00 per hour, plus overtime as required. We are looking for someone who is familiar with working onDiesel Engines, with previous experience working on Construction Plant Equipment. The position is permanent full time Monday - Friday, plus overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• PDI’s, Servicing & Repairing Plant Equipment
• Attend breakdowns on client sites
• Service plant equipment whilst out on site
• Fit Accessories as Required
• Work Well Under Pressure
• Complete Administration Tasks including Service & Repair Records Accurately
• Present a Professional and Positive Attitude when working on Customer Sites
• Maintain Health & Safety To HSE & Company Standards

Skills:

• Previous Experience in One or More of The Following Roles: Service Engineer; Mobile Service Engineer; Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Fitter, Mobile Service Engineer
• You Will Need Previous Experience within the Plant Hire / Agricultural and Construction Equipment Industry
• Analytical Approach To Problem Solving
• Able to Work Without Instruction
• IT Literate
• Own Tool Kit
• Good Communication Skills, both Verbal & Written
• Current Driving License
