NEOS Engineering Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Workshop Engineer / Heavy Plant Engineer for a well-established organisation based in Luton. You will join a team maintaining a diverse fleet of cranes, piling rigs and heavy plant machinery.

The role requires strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills; electrical knowledge is advantageous. Permanent, full-time position with overtime and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience as Workshop Engineer or Heavy Plant Engineer.
• Experience with Heavy Plant equipment such as Cranes, Piling Rigs, or Excavators.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Electrical knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on Cranes, Piling Rigs and Heavy Plant Machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Working in a workshop environment with an experienced engineering team.
• Identifying faults and ensuring machinery is maintained to a high standard.

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Engineer / Heavy Plant Engineer to join a well-established and leading organisation within the construction and heavy plant industry, based in Luton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Engineer to join a business operating an extensive fleet of specialist construction equipment, including Cranes, Piling Rigs and Heavy Plant Machinery.

Previous experience working on Cranes or Piling Rigs is NOT essential. Engineers with a background in Heavy Plant, Construction Equipment, Agricultural Machinery or similar industries are strongly encouraged to apply, as the skills are highly transferable.

The Role:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on Cranes, Piling Rigs and Heavy Plant Machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Working on a range of specialist construction equipment within a workshop environment.
• Identifying faults and ensuring machinery is maintained to a high standard.
• Working alongside an experienced engineering team.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Workshop Engineer, Heavy Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Construction Plant Engineer or similar.
• Experience working on Heavy Plant equipment such as Excavators, Dumpers, Telehandlers, Cranes, Piling Rigs or Agricultural Machinery.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
• A recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be beneficial.
• No previous Crane or Piling Rig experience required– Heavy Plant Engineers are encouraged to apply.
