Job summary

elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced Plant Fitter for a predominantly workshop-based role in the Burton/Swadlincote area. The package includes a base salary of £46,500–£55,000 per year, overtime, door-to-door travel pay and a company van.

You will service piling equipment and heavy plant, perform complex repairs, and occasionally travel to sites. NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance required, with hydraulic and auto-electrical skills, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Holds an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent) with proven heavy plant experience.
• Proficient in hydraulic fault-finding, engine repairs and auto-electrical diagnostic work.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to undertake occasional stayaways or night shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, inspection and preventive maintenance on piling equipment, excavators and heavy plant ancillaries.
• Perform complex fault-finding, mechanical overhauls and hydraulic/auto-electrical repairs in Swadlincote workshop.
• Respond to occasional site call-outs and carry out field repairs with door-to-door pay and a company van.
• Maintain strict safety standards with possible night shifts or short stays for project needs.

Location: Swadlincote (approx. 80% yard-based, with occasional regional travel)

• Stable Base: Spent 80% of your time at our Swadlincote site with fixed early hours and Friday early finishes.
