Job summary

Michael Page Finance seeks a Plant Financial Controller to lead financial operations at a manufacturing site, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting and effective business partnering with operations.

The role covers budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, cost control, inventory governance, audits, IT systems oversight, and development of the accounting team, with hybrid working option and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or QBE.
• Knowledge of SAP architecture and proficient key user.
• Strong interpersonal skills across levels in a multinational environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Ability to work under pressure with aggressive targets.
• Significant experience in fast-paced, complex manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Plant Management Team with financial insight and decision making.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and monthly reporting.
• Monitor site profitability, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations.
• Oversee month-end close, reporting to Business Unit, ROI analysis.
• Oversee cost control, productivity improvements, manufacturing cost analysis and cost price calculations.
• Own inventory controls with Logistics and support external audits.
• Ensure strong financial governance, accounting controls across the site.
• Develop the accounting team including performance management and succession planning.
• Oversee site IT systems and budgets to support operations.
• Support continuous improvement and energy management initiatives.
