Job summary

Speedy Hire PLC is seeking a Plant Engineer to oversee inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of plant hire equipment regionally, ensuring safety and compliance with Speedy safety standards.

You will collaborate with depot engineers, drivers and the hire desk to prioritise repairs, contributing to reliable equipment and excellent service. Flexible hours and hybrid work options support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to test and repair plant equipment to high standards.
• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Technical/engineering background is desirable.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Support the ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain and repair plant hire equipment in the region, ensuring safety and compliance with Speedy standards.
• Work with depot engineers, drivers and hire desk to prioritise repairs and maintenance.
• Contribute to delivering high standards of service and equipment availability.
