EDF Energy in the UK offers a Plant Efficiency Industrial Placement based at the Heysham 1 Power Station. This 12-month placement provides a starting salary of 26,050 per annum and the opportunity to work within the Operational Technical Support team, contributing to daily operations and plant performance.

You will gain hands-on experience with cooling systems, pump mechanics, and plant-wide problem solving, while applying your academic knowledge to real energy sector contexts.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Candidates from other disciplines with experience in mechanical comprehension or thermodynamics are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations at a nuclear site and help improve plant performance.
• Gain hands-on experience with cooling systems and pump mechanics.
• Assist with plant-wide problem solving and operational modelling.
