EDF Energy is offering a 12-month Emergency Preparedness Industrial Placement with a starting salary of £26,050. The role is on-site at Heysham 1 or Heysham 2 Nuclear Power Station in Lancashire, UK.

You will receive customised training, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to emergency exercises, planning forums, and facilities improvements while working in a highly regulated nuclear environment. Qualifications

• On track for or have a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business, Engineering or Science.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities with a desire to learn and develop new capabilities.
• Good teamwork and effective communication are essential qualities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering emergency exercises and training events.
• Create communications material to support the Emergency Scheme administration.
• Attend internal and external emergency planning forums with local authorities and emergency services.
• Support improvement projects related to emergency facilities and equipment.
