Job summary

EDF is offering a 12-month Nuclear Systems Engineering Industrial Placement at Heysham 1 Power Station. You will receive tailored training, hands-on experience, and mentorship to develop core engineering skills while supporting the Fuel Route process.

Eligible candidates are on track to/holding a 2:2 degree in Maths, Physics, Science or Engineering, with the right to work in the UK and security vetting eligibility.

Qualifications

• On track to achieve or have achieved a 2:2 degree in Maths, Physics, Science or Engineering.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Security Vetting eligibility is required, typically residency in the UK for the past three of five years.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in Nuclear Systems Engineering within the Fuel Route team.
• Be mentored by highly skilled professionals and work on real projects at junior level.
• Assist in planning and delivering work packages and develop Planning & Project Management skills.
• Learn about safety protocols, governance, QA, and IT systems relevant to the Fuel Route process.
• Explore plant operations and other areas of interest within EDF.
