Job Description

I am currently seeking a Permanent Plant Administrator / Transport Administrator for work with a specialist plant company in West London.

This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  1. Data management, including maintaining employee records on the database.
  2. Liaising with internal and external departments.
  3. Responding to incoming calls and emails promptly and efficiently.
  4. Handling queries and investigating discrepancies.
  5. Ensuring all personal data is collected, stored, and processed in compliance with the Data Protection Act (DPA), GDPR, and company policies.
  6. Maintaining accurate records of transportation activities, including delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance logs, and driver logs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  7. Tracking data for the transport planning team and organizing abnormal load notifications across the UK.
  8. Ensuring compliance with transportation laws and regulations, including safety standards, weight limits, and licensing requirements.
  9. Identifying and resolving transportation-related issues promptly, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  10. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within logistics operations.
  11. Performing any other ad-hoc duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as an administrator, coordinator, or in logistics or similar roles.
  • Experience within construction, fleet, rail, civils, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Two references.
