Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI is recruiting a Plant Administrator for our Midlands operations in Birmingham. You will provide high-level administrative support to senior management and project teams, manage budgets and financial records, and ensure efficient business processes.

Joining a major HS2 construction partnership, you will use IT systems to generate reports, maintain databases, and help with project planning and HR administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative role within the construction industry.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and financial records.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and accounting tools.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of UK construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR functions, including training coordination and recruitment administration.
  • Knowledge of UK construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Job description

HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Current Opportunity: Plant Administrator
Location:

Based in Birmingham - the Central Region runs from the east of Birmingham into the city centre, comprising Sublot Delta, 1B, 4 and 5S. More than 50% of the structures within IPT Area North are located in the Central Region. This region, which covers a complex urban environment, also includes the 3.5 mile twin bore Bromford Tunnel. It also includes Interchange Station, as well as crossing three major highways (A45, M6 and M42).
