Job summary

Mast Group Ltd, a world-class manufacturer and supplier of diagnostic products, invites applications for a Planning Team Leader at the Bootle site. You will oversee daily planning for bought-in products, ensuring accuracy and compliant documentation to support production.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will guide the planning team, balance inventory and service levels, and drive process improvements across planning systems and procedures to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing a small but busy team.
• GCSE in maths and English.
• Excellent communication across all levels and departments.
• Experience of working to tight deadlines.
• Experience of working with ISO standards.
• Experienced and comfortable using Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Management of the day to day running of the planning department.
• Provide daily guidance and general management support to the team and other departments.
• Balance inventory and serviceability levels to meet business requirements.
• Develop and implement more efficient product planning processes.
• Prepare documentation for production managers for work distribution.
• Analyse stock requirements, back orders and upcoming orders.
• Work with other departments to update stock requirements.
• Define priorities and monitor planning to prevent delays.
• Identify material shortages and coordinate with procurement for timely delivery.
• Contribute to development and improvement of systems and processes.
