Planning Partner Opportunity at a Leading National Law Firm

We are seeking a Planning Partner to join a leading national law firm. This role is based in Birmingham with travel to other offices. Key Responsibilities

1. Hit the ground running as the appointed planning partner.
2. Oversee and develop a team of talented planning lawyers.
3. Provide expert guidance on planning matters across residential and commercial developments in both private and public sectors.
4. Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver high-quality legal advice and representation.
5. Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
6. Work closely with the partnership, especially the real estate team.
7. Prepare a strategic business plan as part of the recruitment process to outline growth strategies for the planning team.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with at least ten years PQE and extensive experience in planning law.
• Experience in both private and public sector planning work.
• Ideally, a current partner seeking the next career challenge.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams across multiple locations.
• Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a commitment to high ethical standards.
• Technical expertise in planning, highways, and environmental law.
