Planning Partner Opportunity at a Leading National Law Firm

We are seeking a Planning Partner to join a prominent national law firm. If you are ambitious and seeking a new challenge, this role offers the opportunity to work based in Birmingham with travel to other offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and oversee a team of talented planning lawyers, supporting their growth and development.
  2. Provide expert guidance on a wide range of planning matters, including residential and commercial developments in both private and public sectors.
  3. Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver high-quality legal advice and client representation.
  4. Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  5. Work closely with the partnership, particularly the real estate team.
  6. Prepare a strategic business plan as part of the recruitment process, outlining your growth strategies and team development plans.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor with at least 10 years PQE and a strong background in planning law within both private and public sectors.
  • Ideally, a current partner seeking the next step in your career.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams across multiple locations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills, committed to maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Technical proficiency in planning, highways, and environmental law.
