Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus package
Location: Surrey

Requirements
  • Educated to degree level with relevant Town Planning knowledge and MRTPI accreditation.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification private sector experience working either for a residential developer, or in the residential team of a planning consultancy.
  • Full driving licence with car.
Job Description/Role
  • Carry out planning appraisals of sites assessing suitability to provide both immediate and strategic residential development opportunities, requiring a full understanding of current and emerging local and national planning policy.
  • Take the lead role in obtaining planning permission for our residential schemes through the management of sites throughout the planning process, including initial appointment of architects and other consultants, pre-application meetings with planning officers, submission of applications, negotiations with officers once a scheme is submitted, and discharge of planning conditions if consent is achieved.
  • Secure post-permission amendments to schemes through the submission of non-material amendment (s96a) applications and minor-material amendment (s73) applications.
  • Management of planning appeals.
  • Monitoring of Councils' emerging development plans for core business areas and drafting and submission of representations to support our business interests in a given administrative area.
  • Monitoring councils' 5 year housing supply positions and advising of potential opportunities within areas of identified or emerging shortfall.
