Job description

Proven Planning Manager with experience of working on major rail programmes required for an initial 15 month contract in Leeds. Hybrid working is offered but there will be a need to travel to Manchester and York when required.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing planning and scheduling services to support a major rail infrastructure programme
  2. Taking the lead on project scheduling, coordination, and stakeholder management
  3. Conducting periodic programme reviews and maintaining schedules
  4. Integrating risk management into scheduling processes
  5. Generating and presenting reports to ensure projects stay on track

Job Requirements:
  1. Experience of working on major rail projects in a planning management capacity
  2. Proficiency in motivating and leading planning teams
  3. Knowledge of NEC4 schedule contractual requirements
  4. Experience working with technical engineering, construction, and access disciplines
  5. Ability to use and operate P6 Loadspring database, including creating and managing security privileges

Other Details:

This is a contract position for 15 months, based in Leeds, with travel to York and Manchester as needed.
