John Sisk and Son is recruiting a Lead Planner or Planning Manager for its Life Science and Technology business unit in the United Kingdom, based at St Albans. The post reports to the Project Controls Lead or Lead Planner and carries responsibility for the planning and scheduling of assigned projects.

The holder develops, maintains and manages schedules across the design, procurement and construction phases, monitors programme progress, identifies delay and proposes corrective action, and keeps short term lookahead programmes and monthly progress reports current.

• programme updates for senior management and clients
• analysis of schedule adherence
• float utilisation and critical path accuracy
• impact assessments for design changes, variation orders and contractual amendments

The holder maintains the planning and scheduling entries in project risk and opportunity registers, supports audits and reviews of project schedules, and is required to keep company planning procedures, contractual obligations and statutory requirements satisfied. The role also mentors senior and junior planners and promotes planning and programme management practice across the project team. The posting is full time and carries requisition 2026-3093.
