Job summary

Knightwood Associates seeks an experienced Planning Manager in Cambridgeshire to guide residential and mixed-use development strategies. You will work with Land and Technical teams, manage planning applications and appeals, and liaise with Local Authorities and communities to secure consents efficiently.

The role requires RTPI/RICS membership (desirable) and a Planning or Surveying degree, with strong communication and public-speaking abilities to effectively represent the business.

Planning Manager - Cambridgeshire 70,000

An established and growing residential developer is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Manager to join its team in Cambridgeshire.

Reporting to the Land Director, you'll play a key role in supporting land acquisition and the delivery of strategic land opportunities. You'll provide planning advice across residential and mixed-use schemes, assess potential development opportunities, identify planning and commercial risks, and develop strategies to secure planning consents efficiently.

You'll work closely with Land, Technical and Strategic Land teams, as well as engaging with Local Authorities, landowners, agents, consultants and local communities. The role will also involve managing planning applications and appeals, negotiating S106 agreements, attending Planning Committees and overseeing planning budgets and consultant teams.

We're looking for an experienced Planner or Planning Manager with strong knowledge of residential planning and development control, excellent communication skills and the confidence to represent a business in public forums.

A Planning or Surveying degree, together with RTPI or RICS membership, would be desirable.

Salary: 70,000 + 5750 car allowance.
Location: Cambridgeshire
