Job summary

Knightwood Associates Limited in Cambridgeshire is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to support land acquisition and drive planning for residential and mixed-use developments. You will manage planning applications, appeals, S106 negotiations and engage with councils, landowners and consultants.

The role reports to the Land Director and requires strong communication skills, public-facing representation, and a degree in Planning or Surveying with RTPI/RICS desirable.

Job description

Salary/rate: Up to £70000.00 per annum + Car allowance

An established and growing residential developer is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Manager to join its team in Cambridgeshire.

Reporting to the Land Director, you'll play a key role in supporting land acquisition and the delivery of strategic land opportunities. You'll provide planning advice across residential and mixed-use schemes, assess potential development opportunities, identify planning and commercial risks, and develop strategies to secure planning consents efficiently.

You'll work closely with Land, Technical and Strategic Land teams, as well as engaging with Local Authorities, landowners, agents, consultants and local communities. The role will also involve managing planning applications and appeals, negotiating S106 agreements, attending Planning Committees and overseeing planning budgets and consultant teams.

We're looking for an experienced Planner or Planning Manager with strong knowledge of residential planning and development control, excellent communication skills and the confidence to represent a business in public forums.

A Planning or Surveying degree, together with RTPI or RICS membership, would be desirable.
